You are invited to join Governor Chet Culver as he signs HF 2663-the SILO Bill.

House File 2663 replaces the current local option sales tax that a school district can impose for school infrastructure and replaces it with a permanent statewide one cent tax. The amount distributed in the first year, fiscal year 2009, is estimated to be $372 million to school districts.  Another $28 million would be used for property tax relief and distributed out of the property tax equity and relief fund next year.

Admission: $8. per person or $15.00 per couple plus one non perishable food item. Food items will be donated to the Leon and Lamoni food pantries.

This is an unplugged acoustic music event featuring everything from blues and rock to country and a little jazz. Something for everyone. A raffle drawing will be held during the evening’s event. Candidate Rob Hubler will be in attendance. We are raffling the following items:

1^st Prize: Apple MacBook Laptop Computer 160 GB
2^nd Prize: Apple iPod Touch, 16 GB 

You do not have to be present to win. One prize per person. Raffle tickets are $5. each or 5 tickets for $20.
